So did you guys ever get that go kart running? Mine is almost put back together it just needs new batteries where did you guys get yours again? I am thinking 72 volts to start with :twisted: Let's get em together so we can RACE :!:

So what's the status on this kart eh? Mine has been done for a while now and if you guys want you can borrow my kart for a while and take it around for demo purposes although I think its going to need more than 48 volts to have some balls and a body would be good to put on it which I have as well, it just needs to be mounted and I have done that fairly easily in the past to other karts I have built for people. I also have another motor I would like to put on it and then set up a series/parallel contactor but I still have to make a cradle for that one and put a sprocket on it too which will take me about a week if you guys are serious. In the end though no matter what motor set up its still going to come down to the batteries I think a 100 plus volt pack is in order. The agm batteries I have in it now at 48 volts move the kart to 40 and don't really spin the tires and I think I can even smell them as I take off, my controller goes up to 200 volts 500 amps so its a little much for this application.
